A few notes on “Conspiracies”

Posted in Conspiracy, Education, Religion on October 7, 2009 by davidblaine

Jeremiah 11:9-10…
“And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah”

From “Webster’s Dictionary”
conspire: Pronunciation: \kən-ˈspī(-ə)r\
Function: verb

Inflected Form(s): con·spired; con·spir·ing
transitive verb
: plot, contrive
1.  to join in a secret agreement to do an unlawful or wrongful act
2.  to act in harmony toward a common end
As for definition 2… most people think of a conspiracy as being a plot to do evil. Personally, I have never heard the term used in a positive way.
The first conspiracy took place in Heaven as Lucifer and his minions plotted to overthrow God.
The first earthly conspiracy, however, took place in the Garden of Eden and wouldn’t you know it, involved one of the characters in the aforementioned plot… a repeated act against God by Lucifier (aka Satan) involving the woman Eve, and the first man, Adam.
