On 20 July 1969 Apollo 11 landed on the Moon. However, some people insist that the the landings were filmed in studios here on Earth. They argue that photos of the mission aren't real, radiation from the Sun would have stopped the astronauts and NASA didn't have the ability to return a man safely from the Moon.
Marcus also addresses researcher Jay Weidner's theory that Stanley Kubrick was responsible for directing fake footage of the lunar surface, and discusses the 1977 movie Capricorn One, whose plot echoes a great many elements of the story - as does a particular sequence of the James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever.
