Ozark, Missouri, is buzzing with excitement as preparations for the annual rodeo are in full swing. During my recent active recovery ride, I had the chance to witness the hustle and bustle firsthand, and I couldn’t wait to share the experience with you all.

As I pedaled through the scenic routes of Ozark, I noticed the bleachers being set up and the big 18-wheelers arriving with livestock for the rodeo. The anticipation in the air was palpable. The rodeo grounds were a hive of activity, with workers putting the finishing touches on the setup. They were even installing a new steel roof, ensuring everything is ready for the big event.

Last year’s rodeo was a massive success, drawing in crowds of 8,000 people over two nights. This year, the organizers are expecting an even larger turnout. They’ve added 300 more seats to accommodate the growing number of rodeo enthusiasts. Colton Ulmer, the hilarious rodeo clown, is returning to keep the audience entertained, and the popular Ladies Diamond Dig, sponsored by Mitchum Jewelers, is back with an $850 diamond necklace up for grabs.

The rodeo promises to be a thrilling event with top-notch competition from skilled cowboys and cowgirls. Whether you’re a fan of bull riding, barrel racing, or just looking for a fun night out, the Ozark Booster Club Pro Rodeo has something for everyone. And don’t forget to grab your advance tickets at Apple Markets in Ozark, Clever, and Sparta for a $3 discount. Kids can even get free tickets for Friday night at Apple Market.

But my ride wasn’t just about the rodeo. I also explored the beautiful waterways of Ozark. I watched as people launched their canoes, learning the best spots for an easy launch. The serene environment and the promise of future paddleboard rentals make it a perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

So, mark your calendars for July 19th and 20th and join us in Ozark for a weekend of rodeo fun and outdoor adventure. Whether you’re here for the thrilling rodeo events or to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, Ozark has something special to offer.
