Les Brown is my friend, and my Hero! ~ BH
I failed the 7th grade 3 times. I was put in special education. Dropped out of the school in the 9th grade. I was told by one teacher that somebody had to pick up the garbage. As soon as I was 18 I started working in construction as a surveyor. I can barely read but I but I could use a calculator and learn to read blueprints. Mississippi Delta Community College turn me down two years in a row. Third time I went back was a charm they turned me down but I Went to The Vocational Building where they had just got in a whole classroom of new computers for CAD computer aided drafting. Dean Foley, seen me looking Through the Windows of the cad Department and ask me who was I and what would I do in there. Not knowing he was the Dean of the Vocational Building. I told him my story. He ask me to come to his office and he picked up the phone and call over to the main Dean's office and told him he was sending me back to his office. And that he was to enroll me into the new up-and-coming CAD computer aided drafting class. He all so said, That I was to get accommodations, with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
My friend Dean Foley, of MDCC Moorhead,Ms had been Dyslexic. His mother went to went to college with him and help him to read this test. Dean Foley accomplished his dream he got a PhD He seen something in me, and helped this Dyslexic, at the time 32 year old. Go to back to school, it's a long story but believe me this is the Hero of my life. Soon I will make some videos about this part of my life. I will never give up on may dreams. I dream new ones every day. Live your dreams, We create our reality with our thoughts our thoughts become reality.
