Burger King Construction Update: What is Going On in Ozark, MO? 🍔🏗️
Hey everyone, it’s Buddy Huggins—the Buddha from Mississippi! Today, I’m standing right out here in Ozark, Missouri, tracking the progress on the brand-new Burger King restaurant. If you live in Christian County, this is happening right in your backyard, and we need to talk about what’s going on with this site.
To be honest, it is looking like a bit of a mess right now. While developers over by the local Walmart have already managed to completely build four massive structures, this Burger King location is lagging far behind. The construction crews have been gone for two weeks at a time, only showing up for a couple of days to work on the basic curb and gutter infrastructure.
The building is nowhere close to being weather-tight. The exterior is wrapped in Tyvek, but they have temporary plywood covering the doors and window frames instead of real glass. Every single time it rains, it’s raining right on the inside of the building! At this incredibly slow pace, it looks like this project easily has another full year to go before it's actually finished.
I’ve walked the lot to show you the real dirt, the fences, and the subcontractor signs like Wildman Plumbing still sitting in the yard. Then, we take the camera up for a drone fly-up so you can see the entire site layout from above.
