James Corbett’s description of the video says: “Today James talks to Barry Cooper about his remarkable journey from being one of the top narcotics officers in Texas law enforcement to an activist busting crooked cops and helping drug users avoid arrest. If you haven't heard Barry's remarkable story yet, buckle up and bring a notebook. It's a wild ride.”
Buddy Huggins here, this is Barry Cooper’s account on The Corbett Report, police officials reject it, and the court record is mixed.
I'm all for good policing in Ozark, Missouri, and here in Christian County. I want officers who actually look out for folks. What I am not for is trading away freedom, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights to get it. Those Flock cameras and that whole surveillance setup need to be open to the public, so the mayor and the city board can see the real record and make the right call on whether to keep them or let them go. And I am totally against that new police station coming in at over $17 million. There is already adequate room to do the job in a building that costs $6 to $8 million. Protect the people. Do not build a monument, and do not watch the town like the people are the problem.
