Problem Reaction Solution drone chaos at Gatwick Airport in the UK

UK couple arrested over drone chaos at Gatwick Airport

The first pictures of the couple arrested over the Gatwick drone chaos that ruined Christmas for 140,000 people have emerged.

London’s Gatwick Airport was plagued by long lines and flight delays after two people were arrested in connection with the drone invasion that had shut down the country’s second-busiest airport.
The first pictures of the middle-aged couple arrested over the Gatwick drone chaos that potentially ruined Christmas for thousands of stranded passengers have also emerged.
Elaine Kirk, 54, and Paul Gait, 47, from Crawley, were named locally as the two people currently being questioned by police.
Stunned locals today told how police raided their home last night.
Mr Gait’s boss told The Telegraph how the window fitter and drone enthusiast was working when the attacks took place.
John Allard, who runs Allard Double Glazing, told the newspaper: “Paul normally comes in around 7.45am and I remember on those days he then worked late on site on a fitting job.
“I don’t think it can be him. He was busy on site working when it was happening.”
He also said Elaine had “no interest” in flying drones — but said Paul had used the machines in the past.
Locals also told how Paul had been spotted with a remote-controlled model helicopter in the area.

I Confronted a Drone Pilot

Published on May 8, 2013 By:TRUTHstreammedia

Who flies the drones America uses to take out military targets in foreign locales all over the globe? I had the chance to talk to an Air Force drone pilot operating out of Whiteman Air Force Base, and astonishingly, he admitted to me that he took part in strikes on wedding parties in Middle East & Asian countries said to harbor terrorists.
I confronted him with some of the troubling news that has emerged about the secret White House kill list and the apparent readiness to destroy the lives of innocent bystanders in pursuit of a target -- women, children and elderly villagers who are all considered nothing more than "collateral damage."

Did he, too, find these people dispensable? Did he share the cold rationale of our leaders that it is "worth it" to kill these civilians to target an enemy? I tried to find out when I saw him during a wedding I attended, all while I was deeply aware of the unsettling irony that the celebration we were attending was seen differently than the weddings, funerals and other gatherings that U.S. airstrikes have unofficially declared to be venues of war.

US Drone Strike Kills Five in North Waziristan

Attack Targeted House in Dawar Musaki Village

by Jason Ditz, September 24, 2012
A US drone fired two missiles at a house in Dawar Musaki, a village in Pakistan’s North Waziristan Agency, killing five people within according to reports from security officials, who said some of the slain might be militant fighters.
It was the second US drone strike against the area in the past three days, after a Saturday attack killed four people in a car near Mohammed Khel. The identities of those slain in that attack are not known either.
The attacks come just weeks ahead of a high profile anti-drone rally organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf (PTI) party leader Imran Khan, whose popularity is soaring in recent months and is seen as a major political player for the next election.
In recent comments Khan blasted the strikes, saying that there is “no reliable way” to know who the US is actually killing in those strikes, and urged the US to release a list of actual names of the thousands of people killed in such attacks. To date, the unofficial list of names is only a few dozen, with the vast, vast majority of people forever labeled unidentified “suspects."

The drones came for Ayman Zawahiri on 13 January 2006, hovering over a village in Pakistan called Damadola. Ten months later, they came again for the man who would become al-Qaida’s leader, this time in Bajaur.
