Dar City with David - A Best Spiritual Awakening Signs Movie

"We’ve been fooled into thinking there are architects, carpenters, bricklayers, construction workers that build buildings. They’re projections of our mind. Everything in the cosmos is a projection; it’s attack projected outward. We have to see it’s all an illusion before we can give it over to the Holy Spirit to see its nothingness and have a happy dream."

Who Knows How to Get to Shell Beach?
Dark City Shell Beach Clip - Movie Watcher's Guide to
Enlightenment NewsThere’s a remembrance of this light in the mind, in this movie it’s called Shell Beach. All the characters in Dark City have this faint recognition of Shell Beach, but nobody knows how to get there. In this world, you hear people talk about nirvana or Heaven, but how do you get there? Nobody knows how to get there. When you’re in darkness and you don’t remember the way back, you need help, lots of help. That’s where A Course in Miracles takes us. The desire of your heart gets you back to Heaven.

The Ego's Pathway: Seek and Never Find
Dark City Seek and Never Find Clip - Movie Watcher's Guide to
Enlightenment NewsAs long as we’re searching in the dream world we’re not acknowledging it’s a dream. It’s like we’re trying to find the answer to the mystery of time within the dream world that the ego built. The ego’s back there saying, "Search all you want." The ego’s pathway to God is seek and never find.

Mix and Match Memories
Dark City Mix and Match Memories Clip - Movie Watcher's Guide to
Enlightenment NewsThe ego divides memories up into good and bad memories and everyone who’s asleep and dreaming is trying to find the happy dreams and avoid the dark ones. In ACIM Jesus says, "The dreams you think you like would hold you back as much as those in which the fear is seen." T-29.IV.2 Judging the positive dreams as different from the negative dreams is part of the way the ego keeps you from seeing that you're dreaming.

True Forgiveness Heals the Mind in its Totality
Dark City True Forgiveness Clip - Movie Watcher's Guide to
Enlightenment NewsThe traditional definition of forgiveness would say to forgive for what someone did or didn't do. But forgiveness in ACIM terms is saying that the perception of hurt is completely wrong. The ego made up this world and it made up bodies and it projects this belief in separation—this horrifying feeling of being separate from our Creator—onto the bodies. Feeling abused, neglected, unfairly treated or taken advantage of in some way is all part of the distorted misperception. But the world is not a cause, the world is a projection of the thoughts in mind. The ego is an unreal belief and it has projected a world of unreal effects. The Holy Spirit and true forgiveness take us back in our mind to a point which you might say, is prior to the projections, and therefore it's a deep and lasting healing. True forgiveness heals the mind in its totality.

News
In a world of darkness, controlled by time, images and roles shift and change in an ongoing nightmare as if part of a mad experiment. Everyone seems under the spell of sleep and forgetfulness, just vaguely remembering a distant memory of light and home, but unable to remember how to get back there. When the plan of darkness, attack thoughts and projection is finally uncovered and exposed, the upside-down world is turned right-side-up and bathed in the light of innocence—the present moment. There is no memory of a past. The games of fear and guilt are ended in the light of true love. In the light, Christ is recognized anew, as if for the very first time with no memory of the past.

Dark City Before Talk - Movie Watcher's Guide to Enlightenment
NewsWhen people seem to manifest things or bend spoons, that’s just a sign of the power of the mind. Bending a spoon is a small feat considering the mind is capable of making up a whole cosmos. In this movie, the main character starts to realize he has these powers to “tune”—the ability to manipulate the physical form with the mind. The “dark ones” believe they’re the only ones advanced enough to do this. They are shocked to find out that someone else has the power to tune, and the power to forgive or remake the entire world. All of us have the power to turn the upside down world, right side up, and back to the light. And that’s why the ego wants us to keep feeling weak and helpless.

Dark City After Talk - Movie Watcher's Guide to Enlightenment
NewsAt the end of the movie, Anna and John meet near Shell Beach with no past memories. It’s more than Anna and John, it’s the light of the present moment that’s there. You can feel how freeing that is, meeting everyone without a past reference. That would be safe. It wouldn’t be you would lose your mind, you would find your mind by finding your divinity. In the end it’s not about good and evil, it’s about withdrawing your mind from the idea that attack is real. That’s the symbolism of turning the dagger away: I’m not accepting the idea of attack any more. There’s a Workbook Lesson from the Course, “My mind holds only what I think with God.” If that’s true, my mind does not hold fear, my mind does not hold doubt, my mind does not hold attack. That’s where the innocence comes in—my mind holds only light and love.

Escaping from Attack Thoughts YouTube - Movie Watcher's Guide to
Enlightenment News

Attack thoughts are kept as long as a distinction is made between the inner emotional world and the external world. The ego sees a big difference between being the victim and being the attacker. It asks, who's right and who's wrong, and who deserves forgiveness? But the ego itself is the attack thought. Nothing in the world can alleviate an inner upset. If you can see that victim and victimizer are the same, then you'll be ready to let attack go.

Watching Movies with MWGE is Always
Like Seeing Them for the First Time!

A question sometimes asked about MWGE is, "Why aren't the latest movies at the box office being reviewed?" The value of an MWGE subscription is that the movies reviewed on MWGE are the absolute best for supporting your spiritual awakening experience. Our reviewers select movies for the site based on their inspiration, the movie's metaphysical and healing content and on the probability that you will have a spiritual awakening experience while watching it. Oftentimes, the reviewers won't do a review of a new movie even if it has metaphysical content if there is an older movie on the site that handles the same healing themes more deeply or completely (we call these movies our "classics"). Even if you've seen a movie once or a hundred times, when you watch a movie with MWGE, it's always like seeing it for the first time! For more about watching movies with MWGE, watch our intro video here.
