Spirit Science is a video series starring Patchman, who takes you on a journey into the unknown as we look at many basics of what it means to be spiritual. Chakras, Thoughts, Sacred Geometry, and even Atlantis, in Spirit Science we look at and discuss many of these topics. Patchman Most people in the world don’t realize that there is an option between Religion and Science. You’re either one or the other, and both of the sides don’t give a complete image. With religion, were led to believe a bunch of really bizarre stories without any context at all, and that you can’t be scientific about how you think if your religious. Then on the scientific part of things, we assume that the entire universe just exploded out of nothingness a few billion years ago, and randomly created this entire thing we call reality completely at random. You also don’t have anything to live for, because when you die, you just rot in the ground. But there’s a third option. That option explores the self, and what it means to be a conscious being. Believe it or not, Consciousness is the key factor that brings both Science and Religion into each others arms. Consciousness is the understanding that you are more than your physical body, you are a conscious being that is one with everything in reality, and that the experience is the reason for doing anything! Sangita Devi translates in Sanskrit, to the song or music of the divine mother. When we first found this name we immediately felt a deep connection to our teacher Ammachi, a great saint from India, whose presence is with us in our music. We have been leading kirtan once a week for over nine years in Asheville, bringing community together to share in satsang and devotion. Sangita Devi has performed for the LEAF festival, one of the country’s premier outdoor music and healing arts festivals, biyearly since 2002. We have been honored to bring sacred ceremony with Vedic chanting, dance, and music to open the festival, as well as offering kirtan throughout the festival and on Sunday mornings in Eden Hall. We have also had the opportunity to share kirtan at the Kripalu Yoga center in MA, and at many other wonderful yoga studios. Sangita Devi has had the opportunity to accompany many of the most influential kirtan artists in the country. Performing with Jai Uttal, Bhagavan Das, Wah!, Dave Stringer, Durga Das, Wynne Paris, Marek, Arjune and Bhajananandi. Sangita Devi enjoys traveling and sharing kirtan with many different yoga studios.

Highlights:   ARI MOSHE Ari Moshe’s music reminds us of our closeness to Source. His songs are a combination of composed lyrics, messages received in dreams, Hebrew prayers, and Sanscrit and Punjabi mantras. He began his musical journey as a child having been exposed to the sacred prayers and songs of the Jewish tradition. Throughout his entire life, he has been picking up instruments and composing these prayers to his own melodies. These songs have been a guiding light for him. He is very excited to finally be sharing these songs that have been such a powerful source of strength and remembrance for him on his own journey. A few of his greatest musical influences and inspirations have been Shlomo Carlbach, Shimshai, Dave Stringer, Dave Matthews, Ani Difranco, Yossi Piamenta, the sounds of nature and the sacred medicine of the Amazon. He is currently in process of creating his first music CD. Ari Moshe is a certified Soulsign® astrologer and a student of the school of Evolutionary Astrology as taught by Jeffrey Wolf Green. His own evolutionary journey has been greatly facilitated by the teachings of EA and he is deeply grateful to be assisting other souls on their journey with this sacred work. MARY SPARKS Mary Sparks grew up in a musical family...and after years of piano lessons, more years of teaching herself how to play drums, guitar and several other stringed instruments, followed by many more years of honing her skills as a drummer/percussionist, Mary began focusing on the one instrument that had captured her heart when she was in her early twenties...long before she ever got to see one up close or even know what it was called. For nearly fifteen years Mary has been playing the hammered dulcimer...with a passion sparked that very first time she saw and heard one being played. For her, the sounds coming from that instrument were the most soothing and ethereal musical tones she'd ever heard or been so intrigued by. Since picking up her first pair of hammers, Mary has embraced the hammered dulcimer as her strongest musical voice and as her favorite means to transcend the tangible world. Almost all who enter into the nearly palpable essence of the compositions and improvisations that move through her and out into the world experience his or her own wonder-filled journey within the soundscapes she explores. http://www.marysparks.com/ JOJO SILVERMAN  JoJo created the Devotional Music Foundation in 1999 to promote the sacredness of all music as a force for healing our planet. Since then he has been leading kirtans and chanting workshops internationally. In 2008 he released Bhagavan Kripa: A Kirtan of Grace, a tribute to Swami Kripalu. Later that year he developed Prayerful Resonance Chant Activation a special healing modality using prayer and sound. In 2009 he created the Sonic Sacred Star Garden Temple, a hexagram shaped vegetable chanting garden, as a model for creating new relationships to music, the plant world, and the food we grow. JoJo believes strongly in the power of prayer and sound for healing, and is focusing his time in Asheville NC on his healing work. http://MusicAsPrayer.org/ THE HELIXILEH PROJECT The HelixileH Project will be offering a workshop titled: Whirled Piece, The End of Me and Other Ancient Prophecies The Mayan prophecies of 2012 are not the end of time but rather the end of a calendar of time and not really even the end of a calendar but more an end to the illusion that the individual calendar is who we are. This calendar of experience is kept deep within, what some people may call the "subconscious mind”. Problems arise when the conscious ego state identifies with that information as the reality instead of merely a mythic story pointing to a greater reality, that we all share, unity. The split of consciousness (into persona), and that which is held between is a life dynamic offering coherence or dissonance depending on the degree of conscious agreement by involved parties. This degree affects prosperity and harmony as a rippling effect though the grid of consciousness known as the Flower of Life. We play the HelixileH game of perspective on that grid.
